The Torreblanca area is a suburb located in the province of Malaga, very close to Los Pacos and Carvajal. The white tower that was there is also known as the White Sail Reduct Tower. It was a kind of channel that collected surplus water and sent it to the river.

In 1960, they were forced to demolish it to expand the N-340 road. But later they built a tower with a circular plant in a nearby location called Torre Blanca. The plant was horseshoe-shaped like the Lance de las Cañas and Cala del Moral towers, and the structure was similar, although they used carved stone, a crown mold, and vaults.

The original location coincided with a strategic place. This is because it was very close to the streams and from there, the coast could be seen. In the same way, there was also a carabineros’ hut here. This kind of almanera served as a landmark to mark the end of the beach in Fuengirola and at the same time began a coast with a little more slope. This tower belonged to a coastal surveillance system used by Christians and Arabs.
